Real Estate Agent Utah

There are more than enough reasons for someone to consider moving to the city of St George or, for that matter, any other city in the state of Utah. With its own unique natural beauty and varied and interesting history the state offers itself as a worthy candidate. Speaking to any real estate agent in Utah will help one to find out about the great many opportunities for home and landowners in the state. With some of the state’s cities, like St George growing at the rapid rate that it is, it is no wonder that many people, both old and young, consider moving there. While there are many cities, St George is worth looking at closely.

St George is one of the fastest growing cities in the state of Utah today and a real estate agent in Utah would be foolish not to take advantage of the growth. St George is the county seat of the Washington County in the state of Utah and is also the principal city of the Utah Metropolitan Statistical area. As of the year 2005, the city of St George boasted an awesome 120,000 inhabitants in the city itself. Recently the city has been declared as the second fastest growing city in the United States of America and it does not show any signs of slowing down any time soon. The city lies on an interstate and is just 303 miles from the capitol of Salt Lake City and 119 mile from the glittering lights of Las Vegas. It is no wonder the city is so attractive.

The city has an interesting history to say the least and part of it can be heard from any knowledgeable real estate agent. Utah is the state that harbors the followers of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS) and like many of the other towns; these people founded St George. In the 1850’s the then president of the LDS, a Brigham Young, founded the city as a mission whose purpose was to farm cotton. Though the original endeavor was meant to try and make the members of the LDS self-sufficient they could not produce cotton at competitive prices and the project was abandoned, but the city remained. In 1877 the city completed the third temple of the LDS in St George. This temple was the first temple to be built in the Rocky Mountains and is the longest continuously operating temple in the world today.

St George also offers a great many educational opportunities for young families that decide to settle there. The city has a great many elementary schools and middle schools. There are also three high schools, each with their own distinct personality and traditions. The city also hosts the Dixie State College of Utah that offers four-year courses to young men and woman. Much more can be said about these institutions but it can all be discovered from a friendly real estate agent. Utah has other cities that are just as compelling as St George, though.

Whether a family decides to move to St George or another town in Utah, the towns all have their winning factors. Real estate agents in Utah know their business and their towns well. The state has much to offer to the right people. The towns are growing, the land is beautiful and the people friendly. What more could a new family ask for?
